ORIGINAL STORY: Kimbo Slice was hospitalized in South Florida on Monday, and one report is calling his situation “dire.”
Law enforcement told ESPN and TMZ Sports that the mixed martial artist, whose birth name is Kevin Ferguson, was hospitalized for undisclosed reasons. And his situation “does not look good,” sources told TMZ Sports.
The 42-year-old made a name for himself online with videos of his backyard fights. Slice went on to fight for UFC and most recently with Bellator MMA.
Slice is scheduled to face James Thompson at Bellator 158 on July 16. Slice’s most recent fight, which he originally won at Bellator 149 against Dhafir Harris, was changed to a no-contest after he tested positive for steroids.
