Lamar Odom’s demons might be trying to chase him down again.
TMZ Sports reported Friday that there’s concern among Odom’s friends that the former NBA player is using drugs again. According to the report, friends found crack pipes at Odom’s home.
TMZ also cites multiple sources close to Odom who say he’s been “acting very strange lately” and friends think he might have relapsed. His friends even tried to stage an intervention to get Odom to enter rehab.
The attempted intervention failed, which is when his friends noticed the pipes in his home.
Odom’s friends are hoping to avoid a repeat incident of what happened in October 2015. Odom was found unconscious at a Las Vegas-area brothel and nearly lost his life. Odom didn’t reappear in the public eye until January when his son posted a photo of the former Los Angeles Lakers star.
Odom seemed to be doing better in recent months. In February, Odom made his first public appearance at Kanye West’s New York fashion show and even said in April he wanted to return to the NBA.
However, in addition to the most recent concerns, Odom also was spotted drinking at an Irish pub in March, obviously reinforcing concerns about his substance abuse issues.
