BOSTON — The Celtics went international for their second selection in the 2016 NBA Draft.

The C’s drafted Guerschon Yabusele, a 20-year-old big man from France, with the No. 16 overall pick in Thursday’s draft. At 6-foot-8, 260-pounds, Yabusele is a stretch forward who is above average from 3-point range, a good fit for a Boston team that ranked 28th in 3-point percentage last season.

He averaged 11.5 points and 6.8 rebounds in 28.7 minutes per game for the French club team Rouen this season and shot 42 percent from 3-point range.

The Celtics selected Jaylen Brown with the No. 3 overall pick and still have six picks remaining, including the No. 23 overall pick and five selections in the second round.
