The 2016 NBA Draft finally is here.

Follow along with NESN.com’s live blog and draft tracker below throughout the night for every pick, and the latest rumors and analysis with our updates

9:42 p.m.: Jimmy Butler is staying in Chicago for now, but it seems the Celtics actually had the best shot at landing him, not the Timberwolves, who drafted Kris Dunn.

8:48 p.m.: We have another blockbuster trade. The Vertical is reporting Oklahoma City Thunder forward Serge Ibaka has been traded to the Orlando Magic in exchange for Victor Oladipo, Ersan Ilyasova and the rights to No. 11 pick Domantas Sabonis.

8:30 p.m.: Marquese Chriss won’t be in a Kings hat for long. The former Washington forward is being traded to the Phoenix Suns in exchange for the Nos. 13 and 28 picks, as well as Bogdan Bogdanovic, per The Vertical.

8:22 p.m.: Trade talks between the Wolves and Bulls aren’t dead yet. Read more about that potential Jimmy Butler deal here.

8:05 p.m.: The Wolves reportedly had a deal on the table for Jimmy Butler in exchange for the No. 5 overall pick and Zach LaVine, but turned down Chicago. They had hoped to give up Ricky Rubio instead. If this is true, count it as a major loss for the Wolves. LaVine is a nice young player, but certainly should be expendable.

Read more on that here.

7:52 p.m.: We have our first shocker of the night.

After all these rumors and workouts, the Celtics have made their pick at No. 3 and went with California freshman forward Jaylen Brown.

7:44 p.m. ET: The Celtics seem to be controlling the top of the draft right now. They’re on the clock, but Danny Ainge is on the phone with both the Philadelphia 76ers and Chicago Bulls in potential deals for Nerlens Noel or Jimmy Butler.
