NBA Rumors: 76ers, Hawks Trade Talks Could Impact Celtics’ Offseason Plans

The Philadelphia 76ers reportedly are willing to deal one of their big men, but the Boston Celtics aren’t their rumored trade partners.

The 76ers are in the midst of trade discussions with the Hawks, league sources told The Vertical, and at the heart of those talks are Atlanta point guard Jeff Teague and Philadelphia center/power forward Nerlens Noel.

Such a move certainly would make sense for the 76ers because of their depth down low and lack of guards. And if the Hawks are looking at Noel, that probably means Al Horford will be wearing a new jersey next season.

But if this trade happens, this potentially would be bad news for the Celtics. Rumors have been swirling around Boston potentially going after Jahlil Okafor, but the chances of Philadelphia moving both Noel and Okafor probably are slim.
