NBA Rumors: 76ers Shopping Jahlil Okafor, Nerlens Noel To ‘At Least 15 Teams’

The Philadelphia 76ers are open for business.

The Sixers are shopping Nerlens Noel and Jahlil Okafor to “at least 15 teams” to see where they can get the best deal, a source told Philly.com’s Keith Pompey.

Both Noel and Okafor have been subjects of trade speculation of late, with a report Thursday saying Philadelphia was in talks with Atlanta about a deal involving Noel and Hawks point guard Jeff Teague.

Pompey also reported Thursday, citing a source, that Sixers shooting guard Nik Stauskas and/or small forward Robert Covington could be included in the deal for Teague. But while there might be some legs to the Noel-Teague rumor, his report about shopping Noel and Okafor to “at least 15 teams” suggests that some other team still could swoop in with a better offer.

The Sixers have a surplus of big men in Noel (6-foot-11), Okafor (6-foot-11) and Joel Embiid (7-foot), who was selected third overall in 2014 but missed his first two NBA seasons with a pair of foot surgeries. It makes sense they’re exploring the trade market in addition to preparing to make the top overall selection in this month’s NBA draft.
