It seems Aqib Talib pulled a Plaxico Burress over the weekend.

Talib told others he accidentally shot himself in the leg Sunday morning at a Dallas nightclub, KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis reported Monday. The Denver Broncos cornerback told police he was too drunk to remember the incident, however.

The bullet entered through the rear of Talib’s right thigh and exited out his right calf, according to the Dallas police report. Talib will miss the last two weeks of the Broncos’ offseason workout program, according to Klis, but the former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback is expected to fully recover after only requiring stitches.

Burress, then a Giants wide receiver, spent 20 months in prison after shooting himself in the leg without a concealed carry license at a New York nightclub in 2008.

Dallas police are investigating the shooting involving Talib, according to Klis.
