Tom Brady is just a little bit less world famous than English golfer Justin Rose, according to a formula devised by ESPN.

ESPN director of sports analytics Ben Alamar used salary, endorsements, social media following and Google search popularity to determine the top 100 most famous athletes in the world. Brady ranks 52nd, while his New England Patriots teammate, Rob Gronkowski, came in 72nd.

Brady is the sixth most famous NFL player, behind Cam Newton, Peyton Manning, Odell Beckham Jr., Drew Brees and Russell Wilson. Brady also is the 25th most famous athlete from the U.S., according to the list.

Brady’s comparatively low salary ($8 million) and his lack of a presence on Twitter hurts him. The rankings also don’t seem to take time in the spotlight into consideration beyond Google search popularity.
