The temperature of Copa America 2016 is expected to rise to a boil Monday night when Chile and Argentina face off.

The teams will meet at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., in their first game of the tournament. This Group D game, a rematch of the 2015 Copa America final, is perhaps the most highly anticipated group-stage match of this year’s competition.

Intrigue surrounds Argentina’s camp, as it pursues its first Copa America title since 1993. Captain Lionel Messi races to recover from a back injury, and his uncertain status makes him a doubt to appear in the starting lineup. But teammates Gonzalo Higuain, Angel de Maria, Sergio Aguero and others are more than capable of producing goals in Messi’s absence.

Chile will rely on stars Alexis Sanchez and Arturo Vidal, who provide energy, quality and inspiration to the team. Whether Chile can repeat its Copa America heroics of a year ago and avenge the loss Argentina inflicted on it in March in 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying will be determined in Northern California.

Here’s how to watch Argentina-Chile online.
