Should Venezuela earn its second-ever victory over Argentina in their next meeting, Copa America 2016 would turn on its head.

Argentina will play Venezuela on Saturday at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass., in the quarterfinals of the Copa America “Centenario.” Argentina leads the all-time series, winning 19 games and losing just one against Venezuela. But the past matters little to these teams, as the winner will advance to the last four of the tournament, joining the United States, Colombia and either Mexico or Chile.

Argentina was the highest-scoring team of the group stage with ten goals in three games. Venezuela and Argentina had the joint-stingiest defenses, conceding only one goal apiece.
