Jesus “Tecatito” Corona probably will go very far in soccer, with or without his teammates’ help.
The Mexico forward scored a solo wonder-goal Monday in Mexico’s 1-1 draw with Venezuala at Copa America 2016. Corona boldly dribbled through Venezuela’s defense before finishing the move with a fine shot past the goalkeeper Dani Hernandez to tie the game in the 80th minute.

Corona’s goal was definitely the best solo goal of Copa America 2016, thus far, and arguably the best of any type in this year’s group stage.
Corona, 23, didn’t even start the game. He entered the fray in the 18th minute as a substitute for injured teammate Javier Aquino and made the most powerful of impacts. He now has scored six goals in 24 games for Mexico.
Corona’s goal helped Mexico finish atop Group C and extend its unbeaten streak to 22 games. “El Tri” will play the second-place team in Group D, likely either Chile or Argentina, on Saturday at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., in the quarterfinals.
