Cristiano Ronaldo was injured not even 10 minutes into Portugal’s Euro 2016 Final with France, and it led to an early exit for the Real Madrid star.

Ronaldo went down at the nine-minute mark, injuring his knee after a challenge from France’s Dimitri Payet. He remained in the game for several minutes but was struggling, coming on and off again until finally being carted off at the 25-minute mark and replaced by Ricardo Quaresma.

The 31-year-old was in tears the whole time.

Portugal will have to do a lot to make up for the loss of Ronaldo, as his 61 internationals goals outnumber the entire rest of Team Portugal’s 60 collective international goals.
