Drew Pomeranz Battling Inconsistency In First Three Starts With Red Sox

Start No. 3 in a Boston Red Sox uniform for Drew Pomeranz didn’t exactly go as planned Saturday night.

Pomeranz, who only threw 79 pitches, allowed five earned runs on six hits with four strikeouts and two walks in 5 1/3 innings in the Red Sox’s 5-2 loss to the Los Angeles Angels. He’s now 0-2 with a 7.54 ERA in 14 1/3 innings since being traded to the Red Sox.

Hear what NESN’s Dennis Eckersley and Tom Caron had to say about Pomeranz’s performance in the video from “Red Sox First Pitch” above.
