Johnny Manziel’s trip to Hawaii wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows.
According to TMZ Sports, Manziel recently was involved in a fistfight at a Hawaiian resort the night before his friend’s wedding. Things reportedly had been heated between Manziel and the other wedding guest for a while, and it all escalated at the rehearsal dinner, to the point where the beleaguered free-agent quarterback reportedly struck the other guy in the face.
Manziel felt like he was being hounded by the other man, sources connected to the QB told TMZ Sports. The former Cleveland Browns signal-caller reportedly also was adamant that he wasn’t the aggressor in the situation, which occurred Friday night at the Four Seasons Resort.
Fortunately for everyone, the beef apparently didn’t last long. The fight ended almost immediately, according to TMZ Sports, and Manziel reportedly even sent a bottle of champagne to the man’s room the next day along with a signed note that read: “Truly apologize. Should have never done that. Know this won’t make it better, but hope it starts the day off alright.”
No word on whether the guy accepted Manziel’s apology or if he’s ready to write him off like almost everyone else.
