UFC 200: Jon Jones’ Agent Denies Doping Allegations After Fighter Pulled

LAS VEGAS — Jon Jones will address the media Thursday morning after a potential violation in a USADA doping test that led to him being dropped from his heavyweight bout against Daniel Cormier at UFC 200.

But judging from his agent’s social media activity, it appears that Jones will likely deny the allegations when he faces the media.

Jones’ agent, Malki Kawa, responded to a Twitter user questioning Jones’ potential doping violation with a swift response that explains how Jones’ presser might go.

The UFC didn’t reveal what drug Jones was tested positive for, but he still has the opportunity to prove himself innocent if the B sample from his doping test is negative. If Jones is found guilty of the allegations, he could face a two-year ban from the UFC.

The UFC stripped Jones of his light heavyweight championship in April of 2015 and suspended him indefinitely after he was involved in a hit-and-run accident. That came just months after a $25,000 fine for failing a drug test.

Thursday’s press conference is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. ET at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
