Kevin Durant Once Seemed To Complain About NBA Players Doing What He Just Did

Kevin Durant on Monday became the shiny addition to the NBA’s newest super team.

The former MVP ditched the Oklahoma City Thunder for greener pastures, agreeing to a reported two-year contract with the Golden State Warriors.

Durant’s decision to leave the team he helped build and instead join a club that has a championship, two NBA Finals appearances and the single-season league record for wins — all in the last two seasons — was polarizing to say the least.

In some respects, you obviously understand the move. Durant wants nothing more than to win a title, and he certainly appears to have taken the path of least resistance. But Durant also received plenty of criticism after making the decision. It’s not necessarily great for the NBA to have such a seemingly loaded team, and there are those who believe Durant simply took the easy way out.

Oh, and then there this one tweet Durant sent all the way back in 2010, which appeared to be a shot at LeBron James in the midst of “The Decision”:

That tweet quickly resurfaced Monday, just moments after Durant announced his decision to join the Warriors. Of course, it’s worth mentioning that people can change their minds and opinions, especially when an opportunity like signing with the Warriors is on the table.

But it’s still not an especially great look for the newest member of the Warriors — although he probably doesn’t care.
