Justin Bieber almost was $5 million richer thanks to a Cleveland event during the Republican National Convention, but he reportedly punted on the show after some advice from the city’s biggest star.

The Biebs apparently had a few “Beliebers” at the RNC, leading promoters of an outside event to offer the singer $5 million to perform for 45 minutes, CAA, which represents Bieber, sources told TMZ Sports on Friday morning. Those same promoters also told Bieber’s manager, Scott Braun, that LeBron James was scheduled to be at a different event during the RNC, according to TMZ Sports’ sources.

However, according to TMZ Sports, James’ team told Bieber’s that the reigning NBA Finals MVP with the Cleveland Cavaliers wasn’t going and advised Bieber to do the same.

Despite the hefty offer, Bieber eventually turned down the show, according to TMZ Sports, just as James advised. Braun, a Hillary Clinton supporter, also advised Bieber not to do the show, going as far as to say he would stop representing the pop star if he did it.

Sorry, Donald Trump “Beliebers.”
