The Boston Celtics met with Al Horford on Friday night, according to multiple reports. Apparently it went well.

The Celtics reportedly planned to offer Horford a max contract and were hoping to have the Atlanta Hawks’ free-agent center sign on the spot and then join their recruiting pitch to Kevin Durant on Saturday. However, The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Horford will make his decision over the weekend, so that scenario seems unlikely.
