NBA Rumors: Dwyane Wade Meeting With Nuggets After $52M Contract Offer

The chances of Dwyane Wade playing for a team other than the Miami Heat next season keep getting bigger by the day.

The Heat reportedly offered Wade a two-year, $40 million contract Monday, but the Denver Nuggets, who are set to meet with Wade Wednesday, have upped the ante with a $52 million deal, sources told The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski. ESPN’s Marc Stein reported earlier in the day that Denver’s offer was “north of $50 million.”

But, according to Stein, many in the league still expect Wade to return to Miami.

But with “preliminary talks” going on between Wade to join former teammate LeBron James on the Cleveland Cavaliers, it’s possible neither team gets their man in the end.
