Oh look, the New York Jets found a quarterback.

Ryan Fitzpatrick will return for one more season after agreeing to a one-year, $12 million contract that is fully guaranteed, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Fitzpatrick and the Jets had been in a standoff all offseason over a new contract for the QB, after the team reportedly offered him a less-than-stellar contract. The $12 million probably is a bit less than Fitzpatrick wanted to settle for, but it’s a reasonable contract that clearly has satisfied everyone.

The 33-year-old Harvard alum had a career year last season, passing for 3,905 yards with 31 touchdowns, a Jets franchise record. He also added 260 rushing yards and two more TDs on the ground. He’s certainly better than the abysmal Geno Smith or young backups Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg.

He spearheads a good Jets offense that last season ranked 10th in total yards and 11th in points per game.
