Two of Major League Baseball’s best players from the 1990s will be permanently enshrined in Cooperstown on Sunday.

Ken Griffey Jr. and Mike Piazza will enter baseball immortality when they are officially inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame during its 2016 ceremony.

Griffey, a transcendent outfielder who played 22 seasons with the Seattle Mariners, Cincinnati Reds and Chicago White Sox, received a record 99.3 percent of votes in his first year on the ballot. Piazza, who spent the major of his 17-year career as a catcher for the New York Mets and Los Angeles Dodgers, earned 83 percent of the vote in his fourth year on the ballot.
