The Philadelphia 76ers and their fans have been waiting years for Joel Embiid to make his NBA debut, and it appears that milestone might be closer than ever.

Embiid recently said he feels “100 percent,” per Marc Narducci of the Philadelphia Inquirer. That is great news for Philly basketball fans.

Embiid was selected by the 76ers with the third overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft. The former Kansas University center has been prevented from playing by foot injuries, which have required multiple surgeries.

76ers coach Brett Brown will have some tough lineup decisions to make when Embiid finally is cleared for game action. Philly already has two quality young centers in Nerlens Noel and Jahlil Okafor, both of whom were top 10 draft picks, and two other lottery big men in Croatian Dario Saric and 2016 No. 1 overall pick Ben Simmons.

It’s going to be a crowded 76ers frontcourt until they decide which players are best for the team’s rebuild.
