CM Punk is expected to (finally) make his mixed martial arts debut next month at UFC 203. It’s been a long, complicated journey filled with controversy, injuries and setbacks.
Punk, whose real name is Phil Brooks, unexpectedly left the WWE in 2014 and subsequently signed with UFC. His MMA debut has been pushed back multiple times, but barring another unforeseen event, he’ll finally step into the octagon for the first time Sept. 10 against Mickey Gall.
A new documentary called “The Evolution of Punk” will showcase Punk’s road from the day he signed with UFC until his much-anticipated debut with the company. It’s set to premiere Monday night at 9:30 p.m. ET on FS1, and it looks like must-watch TV based on the trailer below.
