Eduardo Rodriguez’s near-perfect outing Tuesday against the Baltimore Orioles ended prematurely.

The left-hander, who was working on a no-hitter through the first four innings, left after throwing just two pitches in the fifth inning with an injury. The Boston Red Sox later told reporters at Camden Yards that Rodriguez left the game due to left hamstring tightness.

Rodriguez was baffling Orioles hitters before his injury. His only blemish was a walk, and he struck out seven batters on 62 pitches through four-plus innings.
