Team USA was ready for its Olympic closeup.
The Opening Ceremony for the 2016 Summer Games kicked off Friday night in Rio de Janeiro, and one of the highlights of the festivities was the Parade of Nations, in which all athletes represented their respective countries by taking a lap around Rio’s famed Maracanã Stadium.
Decorated swimmer Michael Phelps was chosen to be the flag bearer for Team USA’s contingent of 544 athletes. The parade of nations gave athletes a chance to show off their true colors, and the U.S. came equipped with special outfits designed by Ralph Lauren.
Here are a few glimpses of what Team USA wore for the Opening Ceremony.
