Michael Phelps’ quest to add more medals to his already incredible résumé began Sunday. Seven days later, it’s safe to say Rio de Janeiro has been a success.
Phelps was racing for six more medals entering the week, and he hit the podium for each of them. He increased his career numbers to 23 gold and 28 total medals, both Olympic records, as he rides (swims?) off into the sunset in retirement.
