Weigh-ins can be fun.
No one really cares about two fighters stepping on a scale, unless, of course, one of them doesn’t make weight, throwing off the whole bout. But there’s always a chance chaos could erupt, as it did Thursday when featherweights Jadyson “El Diablo” Costa and Don “Magic Man” Madge came together ahead of their fight Friday night at EFC 52.
This wasn’t any ol’ fracas, either. While verbal jabs and punches are the norm when it comes to weigh-in melees, Costa decided to dig into his bag of tricks and go for a takedown.
The result? Failure.
For everyone’s sake, let’s hope the actual fight is better.
