Mookie Betts has been rewarded for his sizzling summer stretch.

Major League Baseball announced Wednesday that Betts was the American League Player of the Month for July. He’s the second Boston Red Sox player to earn AL Player of the Month honors this season, as fellow outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. won the award back in May.

Betts hit .368 with five home runs, 15 RBIs, five stolen bases and a 1.068 OPS in 23 July games. The 23-year-old right fielder entered Wednesday hitting .306 with 22 homers, 70 RBIs, 17 stolen bases and an .890 OPS overall.

This marks the first time Betts has ever won a Player of the Month award.
