NFL Rumors: Cowboys Considering QB Nick Foles After Kellen Moore Injury

Tony Romo is healthy again and will start at quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys when the 2016 NFL season opens in September.

His backup situation is unclear, though. Kellen Moore broke his ankle this week, opening a void on the depth chart.

One avenue for the Cowboys to replace Moore could be Nick Foles, who recently was released by the Philadelphia Eagles.

There are a few connections between Foles and the Cowboys, too, as pointed out by Werder.

Foles played 11 games for the St. Louis Rams last season and threw for 2,052 yards with seven touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
