NFL’s Twitter Account Celebrates Jordan Rodgers’ Win On ‘The Bachelorette’

The NFL’s official Twitter account rejoiced Monday night after JoJo Fletcher chose Jordan Rodgers over Robby Hayes and accepted the former’s marriage proposal on the season finale of “The Bachelorette.”

Rodgers is the brother of Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, and he, too, played a little football in his day. The 28-year-old played quarterback at Vanderbilt University in 2011 and 2012 and subsequently bounced around a few NFL practice squads after going undrafted in 2013.

That said, the NFL’s celebration of JoJo and Jordan’s engagement still was rather bizarre, especially since Jordan acknowledged on this season of “The Bachelorette” that he doesn’t have much of a relationship with his brother, Aaron, who is one of the league’s most recognizable stars.

Oh yeah, the whole montage thing also was a little out there, though who are we to stop people from having fun on the internet?

At least the NFL’s Twitter account was much more supportive than the Chicago Bears’ Twitter account, which clearly wanted JoJo to pick Robby.
