It’s official: Simone Biles is the greatest gymnast in the world.

The USA gymnastics phenom won the gold medal in the women’s individual all-around competition Thursday at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

Biles’ USA teammate — Needham, Mass., native Aly Raisman — claimed silver on a day that further cemented America’s dominance in women’s gymnastics.

Biles had a total score of 62.198 in the final round. Raisman’s total was 60.098.

Biles earned the highest scores on the balance beam, floor exercise and vault. Six competitiors scored higher than her on the uneven bars, but the difference wasn’t enough to prevent her from winning gold.

Raisman had the second-highest scores on the balance beam, floor exercise and vault but scored lower than 13 competitors on the uneven bars.

Russia’s Aliya Mustafina won the bronze medal with a total score of 58.665.

Biles’ gold and Raisman’s silver come in addition to the gold medal they won Tuesday in the team competition.

The 2016 Olympic gymnastics competition so far has gone as many expected it would: with Biles confirming her dominance of the sport, and Raisman helping Team USA follow suit.
