“The Final Five” now can add Olympic all-around gold medalists to their already impressive résumés.
The United States women’s gymnastic squad of Simone Biles, Gabby Douglas, Laurie Hernandez, Madison Kocian and Aly Raisman dominated the team competition Tuesday en route to an overall score of 184.897 and a gold medal. The women ranked No. 1 in all four events — vault, uneven bars, beam and floor.
Russia won the silver, and China took home bronze.
