Olympic Soccer Schedule 2016: Dates, Start Times, TV, Live Stream

Soccer kicks off the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. How Brazil is that?

The beautiful game will be in the spotlight this month, as teams vie for Olympic gold in both the men’s and women’s tournaments. The action begins Wednesday when Sweden takes on South Africa in the women’s competition and ends on Aug. 20 with the gold-medal game on the men’s side.

Brazil and Mexico are favorites in the men’s tournament. The United States, Brazil, France and Germany headline the list of contenders for victory in Olympic women’s soccer.

NBC Sports Network will broadcast all of Team USA’s games. NBCOlympics.com will stream every game in both competitions.
