Say what you want about P.K. Subban the hockey player, but it’s almost impossible to deny that he’s an All-Star off the ice.

The Montreal Canadiens surprised the hockey world when they traded the superstar defenseman to the Nashville Predators for Shea Weber earlier this summer.

The trade sent ripples through the hockey world, but it also had a huge impact on the Montreal Children’s Hospital.

During his time with the Habs, Subban was a mainstay at the hospital. He often was seen at the hospital visiting with children, but that paled in comparison to what Subban did with his checkbook.

The former Norris Trophy winner also made an unprecedented $10 million donation to the hospital.

So when he left for Nashville, it obviously left a void. However, in a touching video Subban tweeted Wednesday morning, he’s making it known that just because he’s no longer in Montreal doesn’t mean he’s not going to keep that connection to the hospital.
