FOXBORO, Mass. — The New England Patriots made their first roster move since training camp began July 28.

The Patriots released rookie offensive lineman Kyler Kerbyson on Sunday, the team announced. Kerbyson was waived to activate safety Nate Ebner, head coach Bill Belichick confirmed Sunday.

The Patriots signed Kerbyson on July 22. Ebner, who played on the U.S. Olympic rugby sevens team, was placed on the did-not-report list July 27. The U.S. rugby team finished ninth in the 2016 Rio Olympics.
