The Detroit Tigers denied the Red Sox’s request for proper rest for Thursday’s series opener, but Boston doesn’t want to end its win streak over that.

The Red Sox didn’t have much sleep going into Thursday’s 1:10 p.m. ET game after arriving in Detroit from Baltimore in the wee hours of the morning, but they also arrived with some confidence, having won six games in a row.
