BOSTON — Dustin Pedroia will be able to make more of a hands-on impact on Tuesday’s game than he did Monday night.

Pedroia is back atop the Red Sox’s lineup for Boston’s matchup against the Tampa Bay Rays at Fenway Park. The veteran second baseman missed the previous two games due to a death in the family.

Catcher Sandy Leon will get the night off Tuesday, as Bryan Holaday will start behind the dish and bat eighth. Holaday will catch left-hander Drew Pomeranz, who struck out a career-high 11 batters over six innings against these same Rays last Thursday. Holaday caught Pomeranz in that game, as well.

Pomeranz has been on a bit of a roll recently, allowing two runs or fewer in five consecutive starts to lower his season ERA to 2.95. The Red Sox have won three of the 27-year-old’s last five starts.

Here are the full lineups for Tuesday’s matchup.
