Further punishments — like those given to Hope Solo — probably soon will come for Ryan Lochte, but at least he reportedly has dancing to look forward to while he’s out of the pool.

The USA swimmer has gone from Olympic hero to a punchline in the matter of days after he “over-exaggerated” the events at a Rio de Janeiro gas station during the Olympics. But he might soon have a chance to repair his image.

Lochte will be part of the cast for Season 23 of the popular show “Dancing With The Stars,” multiple sources told Us Weekly on Wednesday.

ABC hasn’t confirmed Lochte will be part of the cast, but the network began talking to him about joining the show before the Olympics and have continued those discussions after his Rio scandal, sources told ESPN’s Darren Rovell. Rovell’s sources also said Lochte is a “a virtual shoo-in.”

But, who knows, maybe this is just an over-exaggeration?
