The scouting report on Andrew Benintendi is that he’s very mature for his age, and he proved that under some interesting circumstances Thursday night.
The 22-year-old outfielder, who recently was called up to the Boston Red Sox and tallied two hits in his first big-league start Wednesday, spoke with NESN’s Guerin Austin before Thursday’s contest against the Seattle Mariners.
But Benintendi didn’t make it through the interview unscathed, as resident prankster Hanley Ramirez tried to rattle the young kid by swooping in for a videobomb attempt.
We think the Arkansas product handled the whole thing pretty well, but see for yourself, and watch him discuss his eventful last few days, in the “Red Sox First Pitch” video above.
