BOSTON — Mookie Betts is having himself quite the day at the plate Sunday afternoon against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

UPDATE (Sunday, 3:45 p.m. ET): Betts hit another three-run homer in the fifth inning, giving him three home runs in the game.

ORIGINAL STORY: The 23-year-old outfielder has smacked two home runs, giving him 25 on the season. David Ortiz leads the Red Sox with 26.

His first homer was a two-run shot in the first inning.

Betts’ second home run drove in three runs in the second inning. The play was reviewed by the crew chief because it appeared a fan reached over the Green Monster to catch the ball, but the home run was upheld.
