When Is Ronda Rousey’s Next Fight? Not At UFC 205 In NYC, Apparently

Dana White’s big plans for Madison Square Garden don’t include Ronda Rousey.

It’ll be almost one year since Rousey’s last fight when UFC 205 rolls around Nov. 12, but White said during the most recent episode of “UFC Unfiltered” that the former UFC women’s bantamweight champion will not be on the card for the promotion’s first ever event in New York City.

“She’s definitely not fighting in New York,” White said in the interview released Tuesday. “I’m actually going to start building the New York card this week.”

Rousey has been missing from the octagon since losing her title to Holly Holm at UFC 193 last November. The recent assumption was that she’d be on the card for UFC 205, which figures to be a huge event, but mixed martial arts fans will have to wait a bit longer for Rousey’s triumphant return.

Sources told FOX Sports that Rousey already is plotting her return, at least. Nothing is etched in stone, but Rousey reportedly could return by the end of the year despite UFC 205 being out of the picture.

The final UFC event of 2016 currently is scheduled for Dec. 30 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
