Ben Roethlisberger: Tom Brady’s ‘The Greatest In the World, And I Mean That’

The debate over the NFL’s best quarterback never ends, Pittsburgh Steelers legend Teddy Bradshaw’s recent comments saying he’d take current Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger over anyone else, reignited the discussion.

Roethlisberger, a two-time Super Bowl champion and someone widely regarded as a top five player at his position, has a different opinion. He believes a rival QB in New England is the league’s best.

“Tom (Brady is) the greatest in the world, and I mean that,” Roethlisberger told ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler this week.

That’s high praise for Brady, especially coming from a fellow player who’s accomplished so much. There aren’t many, if any better quarterbacks to have when the game is on the line than Big Ben and Brady. They’ve won a combined six Super Bowl titles and four Super Bowl MVP awards.

It’s quite possible that the Patriots and Steelers could meet in the playoffs in January, which would add another layer to this heated debate. They’ll meet at least once this season, though, when the AFC favorites square off in Pittsburgh during Week 7.
