David Ortiz always has had a hot bat at Rogers Centre, and after Friday, he’ll be able to keep the rest of himself warm, too.

The latest stop on Ortiz’s retirement tour is Toronto, where the Boston Red Sox are in town for a three-game series against the Blue Jays. So, how did the Jays choose to honor Big Papi during his final trip north of the border?

With a pair of Canada Goose jackets, of course.

Blue Jays teammates Jose Bautista and Edwin Encarnacion presented their good friend with the puffy jackets, which apparently are pretty fancy.

The $10,000 donation to the David Ortiz Children’s Fund also was a nice touch from Boston’s American League East rivals, against which Ortiz has quite a decorated history.

The 40-year-old slugger had faced the Jays 245 times as of Friday afternoon, more than any other opponent. He also has 60 homers against Toronto, 40 of which have come at Rogers Centre.

Big Papi has received some pretty impressive gifts this year, so we’re not quite sure how these jackets stack up. Then again, Ortiz might need them if the Red Sox are playing baseball deep into October.
