Atlantic Coast Conference rivals square off Thursday night as the Clemson Tigers visit the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets as 9.5-point road favorites at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

The Tigers are coming off a 59-0 demolition of the FCS South Carolina State Bulldogs in a game that featured a shortened second half after Clemson took a 45-0 lead into halftime.

Betting was closed on last week’s contest, denying Clemson a shot at ending the two-game against-the-spread losing streak it takes into Thursday night’s Tigers vs. Yellow Jackets betting matchup at Bobby Dodd Stadium.

Clemson previously came up short as strong betting chalk in wins over Auburn and Troy, dropping it to No. 5 on the AP Top 25 after opening the season at No. 3. The Tigers also must overcome a five-game straight-up road losing streak against undefeated Georgia Tech, which already has matched its three SU win total from 2015.

On Saturday night, No. 3 Louisville looks to continue its climb up the national rankings as the Cardinals visit the Marshall Thundering Herd as massive 26.5-point chalk.

While huge spreads tend to be treated with caution by bettors, the Cardinals have earned respect at the sportsbooks with three lopsided victories, claiming victories over Charlotte, Syracuse, and Florida State by an average margin of 44 points.

Louisville handed Florida State a crushing 63-20 loss last weekend as a 1-point home underdog, putting the nation on notice that it is a College Football Playoff contender. The win vaulted the Cardinals seven positions in the rankings, and leaves them trailing only Alabama and Ohio State with +650 odds to win the national title.

Florida State opens the day’s action with a visit to Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla., where it takes on the South Florida Bulls as 5.5-point road chalk.

Florida State tumbled 11 positions to No. 13 in the national rankings following its lopsided loss to Louisville and now is 1-3 ATS in its past four games. The Seminoles also have had their struggles against USF, posting SU wins in their past two meetings but failing to cover in their past three.

In other ACC action this weekend, the Boston College Eagles try to bounce back from last weekend’s 49-0 loss to Virginia Tech when they host the FCS Wagner Seahawks. It has been an uneven start for the Eagles, who ended a nine-game SU losing streak two weeks ago with a 26-7 win over Massachusetts, and are 2-1 ATS this season.

Also, the Virginia Tech Hokies host the East Carolina Pirates as 11-point chalk at the sportsbooks, while the Orange visit the Connecticut Huskies as 4.5-point underdogs.
