David Ortiz Says Adios To Oakland, Site Of His 400th Career Home Run

David Ortiz plays his final series in Oakland this weekend, and A’s fans probably are sad to see the Boston Red Sox slugger go.

That’s because Big Papi hasn’t had a lot of success in Oaktown. His .219 batting average at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum is his second-lowest among ballparks in which he has at least 50 at-bats.

However, Ortiz did hit his 400th home run in Oakland on July 4, 2012.
