Julian Edelman Demolishes Ball Boy During Patriots-Cardinals Season Opener

One unfortunate NFL employee found himself squarely in the line of fire Sunday night.

After receiving a pass from New England Patriots quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and being pushed out of bounds, wide receiver Julian Edelman barreled full-speed into a ball boy, sending the poor guy flying toward the Arizona Cardinals’ bench.

He wasn’t the only person Edelman floored, either. The scrappy Patriots wideout also went airborne to deliver a crushing block to Cardinals linebacker Deone Bucannon.

Edelman made an early impact in the Patriots’ passing game, too. He caught three balls from quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo on New England’s opening drive, which ended in a 37-yard touchdown pass to receiver Chris Hogan.
