Julian Edelman’s Message To Tom Brady After Patriots’ Win Is Simple, Heartfelt

Tom Brady couldn’t be on the field Sunday night with his New England Patriots, but he still was on Julian Edelman’s mind.

That much was evident after the Patriots’ 23-21 season-opening win over the Arizona Cardinals, when NBC’s Michele Tafoya asked the receiver if he had a message for his suspended quarterback.

Edelman certainly did.

The connection isn’t surprising, since Edelman (Redwood City) and Brady (San Mateo) both are Northern California guys and late-round draft picks who worked their way into prominent roles in New England. Now Edelman just has to make it through three more games — and, he hopes, three more Patriots wins — before Brady returns from his Deflategate suspension.
