LeGarrette Blount Literally Puts A Team On His Back To Score Patriots TD

The combined strength of six Arizona Cardinals defenders wasn’t enough to stop LeGarrette Blount from scoring his first touchdown of the 2016 season Sunday night.

After Malcolm Mitchell’s 28-yard catch-and-run gave the New England Patriots the ball inside Arizona’s 10-yard line, New England called Blount’s number. Tyrann Mathieu stood up the 6-foot, 250-pound running back just inside the 5, but Blount kept his legs churning, driving the safety and five of his Cardinals teammates directly into the end zone.

Blount’s touchdown gave the Patriots, who were pegged as 9 1/2-point underdogs in the Week 1 matchup, a 17-7 lead early in the third quarter.
