Patriots’ Initial 53-Man Roster Includes D.J. Foster, Danny Amendola

The New England Patriots successfully cut their roster down to 53 players Saturday.

Among the biggest surprise releases were wide receiver Keshawn Martin, linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill, a 2016 sixth-round pick, and defensive end Geneo Grissom, a 2015 third-round pick.

The Patriots’ initial 53-man roster, which could change quite a bit before Sunday’s season opener against the Arizona Cardinals, includes just four traditional receivers and four tight ends.

Here’s how the 53-man roster looks for now.
