FOXBORO, Mass. — The New England Patriots signed a third wide receiver to their 10-man practice squad Wednesday.

The Patriots added former Alabama and San Francisco 49ers wideout DeAndrew White.

White signed with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent in 2015. The 49ers released him on Sept. 3.

White joins fellow wideouts Devin Lucien and Devin Street on the practice squad.

White caught two passes for 18 yards in four games with the 49ers last season. The 6-feet, 192-pound receiver caught five passes for 65 yards in the preseason this summer.

The 24-year-old ran a 4.44-second 40-yard dash with a 1.58-second 10-yard split at the NFL Scouting Combine last February. He ran a 6.97-second 3-cone, 4.18-second short shuttle, 34.5-inch vertical leap and 9-foot, 10-inch broad jump.

He caught 94 passes for 1,294 yards with 12 touchdowns in four college seasons. He had 40 catches for 504 yards with four touchdowns as a senior.

The Patriots also have guard Chris Barker, offensive tackle Clay DeBord, linebacker Quentin Gause, defensive end Geneo Grissom, defensive tackle Woodrow Hamilton, running back Bishop Sankey and defensive back Vinnie Sunseri on their practice squad.
